The GTA 6 price has not been officially established in the reporting available here. Reports have mentioned a possible $79.99 price for the game and a collector’s edition priced at about $400, but neither figure is confirmed by an official store listing or announcement in the evidence reviewed.

What is the reported GTA 6 price?

Several reports claim GTA 6 could cost $79.99. GTA BOOM and Tech Insider both published coverage referring to that figure, while other reports have described it as a possible price that could influence wider AAA game pricing.

That number should be treated as a report, not a confirmed retail price. The available coverage does not provide an official listing showing the game at $79.99, and it does not establish whether that figure would apply across regions or platforms.

Is there a GTA 6 collector’s edition?

Reports also claim that a GTA 6 collector’s edition or collector’s box could cost $399.99, commonly rounded to $400. The same reports say it would not include a copy of the game, meaning buyers would allegedly need to purchase the game separately.

This collector’s edition information is also unconfirmed. Coverage from Techloy, The Shortcut, AltChar, ColombiaOne.com and other outlets repeats the $400 figure, but the evidence here does not include an official product page, confirmed contents list or direct announcement establishing the edition as real.

Why are some GTA 6 cost claims much higher?

Some reports have discussed total spending far above the alleged game price. One headline referred to a collector’s edition pushing costs toward $1,000, while another referenced a figure of $1,853. Those numbers appear to relate to bundles, merchandise or broader spending rather than the price of the game itself.

They should not be confused with a confirmed GTA 6 retail price. The reporting does not establish that either figure represents the cost of buying the game.

What has not been confirmed?

The evidence does not confirm:

  • The standard GTA 6 price
  • Whether $79.99 is an official price
  • The existence or final contents of a collector’s edition
  • Whether the reported $399.99 collector’s box would be sold in every market
  • Whether the game would be included with that box
  • Regional pricing, taxes or platform-specific differences

For now, the clearest distinction is between the reported figures and an official listing. The $79.99 game price and roughly $400 collector’s edition remain claims from news coverage rather than settled retail details.
